Overview

In October 2025, “ArtsLAB: Mind, Body, and Heart Connection” focused not only on the beauty of art, but on its potential for real-world impact, encouraging participants in the event to explore a variety of creative, immersive spaces around the Meadows Museaum of Art in Dallas, Texas.One highlight of the event featured renowned arts educator and former director of the Dallas Museum of Art Bonnie Pitman, currently director of Brain-Art Innovations at UT Dallas' Center for BrainHealth. In a dynamic panel discussion, Pitman joined faculty from Southern Methodist University and other participants to share insights into the convergence of art, mindfulness and emotional well-being. Pitman explained how she incorporates this notion, emphasizing the importance of immersive experiences in reducing stress.
