Overview

Parkland Health’s recent certification from the Association for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) underscores a broader trend toward elevating patient-centered, evidence-based care across complex health systems. Alongside this advancement, new BrainHealth research highlights how accessible, daily cognitive strategies can measurably improve mental health and reinforce the importance of approaches that foster integrated, whole-person care. Center for BrainHealth's research shows significant impact from participants ages 18 to 87 engaging in just five minutes of daily SMART training, short for Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Tactics. Outcomes show training program can reduce psychological stress and enhance cognitive clarity across a diverse population . The six-month study of 370 participants shows improvements across participants who engaged in the training, including individuals with prior mental health challenges, with outcomes measured using the BrainHealth Index to capture holistic shifts in well-being.
