Dr. Mary-Frances O’Connor, professor of clinical psychology and psychiatry at the University of Arizona, uses an integrative view of clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience to explore grieving as a learning process, and the brain's critical role in understanding that a loved one has died and updating one’s view of the world while carrying the absence of this person.
