Help Us Understand Stress and Brain Health Among College Students

This research study examines how chronic stress is associated with self-reported brain health behaviors among college students. Your participation can help improve understanding of student well-being and support future brain health education and resources.

Who is Eligible?

Individuals who are:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Currently enrolled in a college, university, master's, doctoral or professional degree program.
  • Able to read and understand English proficiently.

What Is Involved?

Participants will:
  • Complete a 10-to-15-minute online survey regarding their academic stress, workload and technology use.
  • Receive educational feedback based on responses.
Feedback provided is for educational purposes only and is not a medical diagnosis, psychological evaluation, or treatment recommendation.

Additional Information

  • Participation is completely voluntary. You may skip questions or stop the survey at any time without penalty.
  • No direct identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, or student identification number will be collected.
  • There is no fee and no compensation associated with participation.
  • Participants will answer questions about:
    • Brain health behaviors and experiences related to: Brain development and neural functioning; Cognitive performance and mental clarity; Emotional well-being and emotional balance; Connectedness, social support, and sense of purpose.
    • The 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), which measures perceived stress over the past month.
    • General demographic information related to educational experience.
Your responses will help researchers better understand factors that influence student well-being and may inform future brain health education and support efforts for college students.
