Thad King facilitates high-performance cognitive training for military personnel, veterans, and special operations communities, with a special focus on the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). He brings extensive operational experience to his work at Center for BrainHealth, helping others strengthen their mental agility, clarity and resilience.

Optimizing Our Most Powerful Tool

Thad's collaboration in the Optimal BrainHealth for Warfighters program is supported by a challenge grant generously offered by Adm. and Mrs. William McRaven – powered by the 2024 Bezos Courage & Civility Award that was presented to Adm. McRaven by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
Serving 24 years in the U.S. Army, Thad spent 11 years as a regimental flight lead with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). He had completed nine combat tours across Iraq, Afghanistan, East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, also supporting missions in Korea, Bosnia and Latin America. Following military retirement, he spent five years with the U.S. Department of State Air Wing, supporting national security objectives through global aviation operations. With 4,700+ flight hours, Thad translates elite operational training into actionable strategies for brain health and performance.

Thad King holds a BS in Aeronautics from Liberty University. He currently commutes between Cocoa Beach, Florida and Dallas, Texas. He enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife Patricia and their three children.
