Your brain was built for single-tasking. Although multitasking is common, it decreases your attention brain performance. The frontal lobe becomes exhausted from quickly, repeatedly switching back and forth between tasks, slowing down abilities like movement, language and higher-level executive functions.

WAYS TO BEGIN:

  • Create a workspace conducive to concentration.
  • Determine your priorities and goals in a given task.
  • Minimize or eliminate distractions, like extra technology and noise.
  • Take regular brain breaks to reset your mindset and help reassess your progress and goals.
