Sammons BrainHealth Imaging Center
Located at Center for BrainHealth, the Sammons BrainHealth Imaging Center is a one-of-a-kind facility completely focused on human brain imaging to measure changes in brain health and function. The design and field strength are optimized for functional MRI (fMRI), providing crisp anatomical detail and a signal-to-noise ratio that reduces distortion to facilitate the acquisition and interpretation of data.

Committee on Research Involving Human Subjects
All human subjects research (and all other activities, which in part involve human subject research), regardless of sponsorship, must be reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
IRB is a university-wide standing committee appointed by the president not reporting to the Academic Senate of The University of Texas at Dallas.
The EEG laboratory at the Center for BrainHealth® has 4 testing suites, each with complete Compumedics Neuroscan EEG acquisitions systems (EEG details in Equipment).
Each consists of isolated power supply to assure that all the power operating the system shares a common ground. The EEG lab is connected to the Center for BrainHealth network.
Virtual Social Learning Platform
Center for BrainHealth developed Charisma™, a flexible, virtual simulation platform that is used in combination with a clinician-led cognitive social learning protocol to help users increase their social adeptness. Charisma leverages cutting-edge game development software to allow repeated – but novel – practice with real-time simulation of authentic, dynamic social interactions at varying levels of complexity.
