Julie Carter Heckmann helps lead the philanthropy team in securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations for BrainHealth’s scientific research and translational programming. She and her team oversee donor events and engagement opportunities, stewardship activities and the BrainHealth Advisory Board. She also guides the Friends of BrainHealth, a philanthropic circle that directly impacts the center’s scientific study, and The Think Tank, the center's network of young professionals passionate about brain health.
She began her career at Center for BrainHealth as a college intern in 2009 and now serves as the philanthropy co-leader. She is dedicated to the purposeful work of Center for BrainHealth because it is a cause that truly impacts every individual, and she loves connecting people to areas of involvement and support that are meaningful to them.
A magna cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University with a major in advertising and public relations, Julie was a member of the Junior League of Dallas for seven years, where she served in various leadership roles.
