Krys Boyd has been host and managing editor of KERA-FM’s Think since 2006.
She began her career along the U.S.-Mexico border, working simultaneously in radio and television as a reporter, anchor and news director. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Boyd returned to North Texas in 1999 as news director for Broadcast.com and later became senior producer of Broadcast News at Yahoo.
Boyd joined KERA in 2001 and hosted the nightly radio talk show Conversations. She has written and produced documentary and educational television programs, including the 2023 KERA special JFK: Breaking the News. She also served as producer and co-host of the Emmy Award-winning public affairs program On the Record.
Her accolades include: Think named as Best Radio Talk Show by the Dallas Observer (2009), D Magazine's Best Radio Broadcaster award (2010), and the Public Radio News Directors Inc. (PRNDI) Award for best call-in program (2012).
Krys and her husband, Matt, live in Dallas and have four children.
