Milan Sevak, EdD, is the inaugural executive director of the UNT Dallas Center for Socioeconomic Mobility through Education (CSME), developing hyperlocal projects to increase quality of life and sustainable living wage careers for students living in low-income North Texas neighborhoods.
Prior to joining UNT Dallas, Dr. Sevak served as clinical associate professor at Southern Methodist University, where he launched their EdD program in educational leadership and led their MEd program for aspiring urban school principals.
Previously, he worked in public education, serving in school and district leadership roles in a variety of settings including as assistant superintendent (Dallas ISD), deputy chief of school performance (Chicago Public Schools), special assistant to the superintendent (Austin ISD), and director of instruction and assessment (Leadership Public Schools). He has taught middle and high school students in California, New York City and India.
