Reasoning, problem solving, and innovation: all necessary competencies for life success. Early adolescence is an optimal time to enhance learning, but many educators do not have the benefit of scientific methods that foster these skills.
Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Training (SMART) for Educators empowers students by merging positive-growth mindset, as well as instruction, experience, and practice with higher order thinking skills. The program incorporates short videos and a journal for students to record their metacognitive progress and has demonstrated increased depth of thinking with diverse cohorts of middle and high school students in Texas and four other states.
