Does Exercising Your Body Strengthen Your Brain?
About the Talk
What is the impact of physical activity on brain health? Psychologist Dr. Kirk Erickson delves into this question, exploring several methodological considerations related to scientific literature. Sharing recent findings, he will discuss evidence for mechanisms and moderators of these effects, demonstrating that, overall, engaging in regular exercise is an important modifiable lifestyle factor that carries significant consequences for learning, memory and brain health in late adulthood. Dr. Erickson is also a People's Choice winner for BrainHealth Best Talks, celebrating BrainHealth's 25th anniversary.
