Overview

This chapter from Social Skills Across the Life Span describes a virtual reality training platform – Charisma™ – designed to help adults navigate the socially complex interactions they face every day. Charisma combines a game-based platform with a clinician-led strategy training protocol, allowing individuals to receive real-time feedback on their responses to a range of social challenges. The Charisma program allows adults to improve their social engagement in a way that’s enjoyable and catered to their individual needs and has produced positive results in clinical trials.
