"My vision is to attract leading brain scientists from diverse research domains to innovatively and steadfastly work together toward real solutions for all people, today – to capitalize on the brain’s dynamic capacity to be strengthened in health and repaired after brain injury and disease – to discover biomarkers of brain health so that we can monitor and optimize brain health fitness in the same way that we do physical fitness." – Dr. Sandi Chapman
She urges community leaders to move beyond the tradition of focusing narrowly on brain disease and injury, and instead advocates for a individuals and organizations to adopt a broader approach, including an effort to understand and leverage the brain's capacity for recovery and enhancement. Calling for a paradigm shift in how brain health is perceived, prioritized and studied, Dr. Chapman emphasizes the benefits merging interrelated scientific disciplines to foster broader collaboration between disciplines, such as neuroscience, medicine, molecular biology and neuroengineering, in a largescale effort to advance global brain performance and health. Prioritizing brain health can lead to improved economic outcomes, productivity and overall quality of life, empowering individuals to make daily commitments towards enhancing their brain's potential.Read the full article in Dallas Innovates
